Betty E. Yoder, 102, of rural Danville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at her home.
Born in Turbot Township, Northumberland County on August 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Lizzy (Kramm) Pfleegor. On January 14, 1940 she married Kenneth R. Yoder, Sr. and they celebrated 65 years of marriage until his death on November 28, 2005.
During her marriage she helped on the family farm and was a sales representative for Avon products. She was a member of the Paradise Charge United Church of Christ.
She was a former member of the Danville Garden Club and loved entering flowers in the Bloomsburg Fair. She was an avid reader, especially of poetry, and had a very good sense of humor, but most precious to her was spending time with her family.
Surviving are two daughters: Ann M. Bratcher of Mausdale and Bonita D. Bassion of Boardentown, NJ; a son, Kenneth R. Yoder, Jr. and his wife Estella of Duncanville, TX; 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ray Pfleegor of Northumberland and Dean Pfleegor of Limestoneville; and a sister, Marion Watts Newton of Lewisburg
Preceding her in death besides her husband was a grandson, Damon Bratcher, and five brothers: Robert, Gerald, Ronald, Dale, and Nevin Pfleegor.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from noon to 1:00PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 1:00PM with Pastor Doug Schader officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, rural Milton.
