Barbara D. Longenecker

Barbara D. Longenecker, 79, of rural Turbotville, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born January 1,1945 in Kirkwood, Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late William and Leah (Sherman) Deaver.  On May 8, 1965 she married Terry R. Longenecker and they have celebrated 59 years of marriage.

She was a 1962 graduate of Solanco High School in Quarryville, Lancaster County, and was a homemaker all her married life.

Surviving besides her husband, Terry Longenecker of Turbotville are two sons: Terry L. Longenecker and his wife Jeannette of Lancaster, and Ronald Longenecker and his wife Crystal of Turbotville; a daughter, Deborah Crawford and her husband James of Leola; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was a brother, Ed Deaver and a sister, Doris Deaver.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services held.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
