Ronald W. Eberlin

Ronald W. Eberlin of Sonestown, passed away Sunday, January 6th, 2019 at home surrounded by his wife and children.  Ron was a US Army veteran.  Born September 17th, 1946 to Howard (Hoppy) and Barbara (Smithoover) Eberlin.

Ron retired from Schnadig Furniture, Montoursville, Pa, after 36 years of service.  Ron loved spending time with family.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He played softball in his younger years with his brothers, brothers-in-law and nephews.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sherry McCarty Eberlin; two daughters:  Lori (Mark) Singer & Robin (Scott) Silverstrim; one son, Patrick (Christina Staplefield) Eberlin; his grandchildren: Rachel & Savannah Silverstrim, Gabrielle, Madison & Jacob Eberlin; two brothers: his twin, Donald (Debra) Eberlin and Thomas (Bonnie) Eberlin; plus numerous nieces, nephews, sisters & brothers-in-law.

He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara (Smithoover) Eberlin, his father, Howard (Hoppy) Eberlin; brothers:  David & Joseph Eberlin, a sister, Patricia (Eberlin) Peterman; mother & father-in law:  Raymond & Jean (Hess) McCarty;  sisters-in-law: Joan Eberlin & Cheryl (McCarty) Guglielmi; and nephews: Curtis, Christopher & Phillip Eberlin.

His family would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 1 pm at the Muncy Valley Volunteer Fire Hall.   Please come share any stories or pictures you may have with his family.  Pastor Zach from Muncy Valley United Methodist Church will say a few words.   A light meal will be served.
