Robert H. "Bob" Michael, Sr., 83, of Allenwood, formerly of Watsontown, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland. Born November 22, 1935 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Victor J. and Ruth Ann (Bodansky) Michael. On December 4, 1954 he married the former Lorna M. Donachy and they have celebrated 64 years of marriage.
He was a 1953 graduate of Milton High School.
Bob was a former member of Watsontown United Methodist Church and had served on the Watsontown Boro Council. He was one of the founders of the Watsontown "Yard Sale Day", and an active member of the Scotty Travel Trailers Club.
A talented musician, he played the piano and performed with the Four Notes Band and the Jumping Jacks Band at clubs and weddings.
He loved camping with his family, cars, fixing things, and woodworking, and he participated in the East Lycoming YMCA Silver Sneakers.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Bradley S. Michael and his husband, Michael Waupoose of Madison, WI; a daughter-in-law, Audrey Michael of Milton; two grandchildren: Ethan Michael and his wife Laura and Samantha Woltz and her husband Dennis; a great-grandson, Cameron Woltz; two step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Victor A. Michael and his wife Judy of Muncy, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was a son, Robert H. Michael, Jr. who died September 27, 2017.
Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2:00 PM Monday, May 20, 2019 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc, PC, 124 Main Street, Watsontown where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Steven Shirk of the First Presbyterian Church of Milton officating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
