Mary “Jean” R. Hagenbuch, 84, of Milton, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born May 4, 1934 in Freeburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Morris R. and Grace E. (Betzer) Ulrich. On February 7, 1958, she married Clyde W. Hagenbuch and they celebrated 54 years of marriage until his passing on February 24, 2012.
Jean was a 1952 graduate of Freeburg High School. She was a member of Trinity Oak Grove Lutheran Church, rural Danville. Jean enjoyed square dancing, reading, shopping, watching television and she liked to sing. In her earlier years she sang in choirs and at weddings. Jean worked for the Department of Transportation in Harrisburg, Woodmode, Williams Advertising Agency, Farmers Best, Rhoades Mere, and the Hampton Inn.
Jean had always considered herself as a “town girl” but lived in the country for over 60 years.
She is survived by two sons: Carey W. Hagenbuch and his wife Crystal, of Danville, and Craig W. Hagenbuch and his wife Angela of Danville; a daughter: Cathy Jo Kelley and her husband Kit of Washingtonville; three grandsons: Ty and Cole Kelley both of Bloomsburg and Brian Ulrich of Selinsgrove.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her son Dennis Ulrich in 2008.
Burial will be in the Trinity Oak Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
