Leo Sheatler, 90, of Watsontown, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Evangelical Community Hospital.
Born October 30, 1928 in Exchange, Montour County, he was the son of the late Casper and Mabel (Lyons) Sheatler. He was married to Mary Jane (Bachman) Sheatler who preceded him in death in 1969.
He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.
A truckdriver during his working years, he retired from Trenco Trucking, Williamsport.
Leo enjoyed hunting, camping, and being outdoors, and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law: Lawrence and Cheryl Sheatler, Watsontown and David and Louella Sheatler, Exchange; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and David Geiger, Red Lion; six grandchildren: David, Jr., Melissa, Misty, Derick, Brent, and Marylee; five great-grandchildren: Conrad, Austin, Zachary, Hannah, and Olivia; a half-brother, Emerson Schoch of Lairdsville and a sister, Matrona Tombleson of Millville, NJ.
Preceding him in death besides his wife was a brother, Sylvester Sleath.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service celebrating Leo’s life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville.
