Kenneth Miller Obituary

Kenneth Ray Miller, 92, of Devitt Camp Road, Allenwood, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2019. He was born on October 17, 1926 in Allenwood, the son of late Mayberry and Anna (Brown) Miller. He was married to Margaret Ferguson on January 6, 1950 who survives.

Ken grew up on his 3rd generation family farm and was a truck driver for Adam Yocum, Ray Taylor, Mushroom Trucking Company, Bob Miller and retired from Halls Motor Transit out of Williamsport, PA. He Was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army in the European Theatre and was honorably discharged on January 17, 1947. He attended school in Allenwood and Watsontown, joining the service at age 17. He was a member of the Watsontown Masonic Lodge 401, Watsontown American Legion Post 323 (67 years) and the Washington Presbyterian Church in Allenwood, PA. He enjoyed fishing at Keuka Lake, NY, hunting at his Allenwood cabin and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Larry and his wife Pat of Allenwood, Michael and his wife Cathy of Allenwood and Jane and her husband Paul Baker Jr. of Allenwood. Seven grandchildren, Michael R., Kenneth S., and Larry B. Miller, Tawnya Rice, Luke, Stacy and Katressa Baker. Ten great-grandchildren, Casseday and Cydnay Rice, Chelsea, Michael S., Emily, Grady, Adelyn, and Carson Miller, and Brin and Tobias Baker. He is survived by his brother, Claude and wife Catharine of Muncy, PA.

Friends and family are invited to join in a visitation from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, July 12 at the Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 124 Main Street in Watsontown, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. A graveside service with military honors will be held following the service at the Uniontown Cemetery, Allenwood, Pastor Gene Brosius of the Washington Presbyterian Church will be officiating.
