Helen M. (Zerbe) DeGreen

Helen M. DeGreen, 91, of Danville, formerly of Washingtonville, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law where she was living.

Born November 16, 1927 in Northumberland, she was the daughter Herbert J. and Jean M. (Murphy) Zerbe.  On December 5, 1950 she married Harold D. DeGreen, Sr. and they celebrated 58 years of marriage until his death on August 9, 2008.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law: Harold D. DeGreen, Jr. and his wife Kathy and James E. DeGreen and his wife Molly, all of Danville; a daughter, Dawn V. Heffelfinger; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary Zerbe of Hershey and a sister, Marian Zerbe of Dallas, TX.

Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents was a son, Dale DeGreen who died in 1993, and several brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2019 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Shawn McNett of Trinity United Church of Christ, Strawberry Ridge, officiating.  Burial will follow in Orchard Hills  Memorial Park, Shamokin Dam.
