Ellen L. Messinger, 89, of Mincemoyer Lane, Watsontown, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Watsontown Health and Rehab.
Born May 28, 1929 in Alvira, Lycoming County, she was the daughter of the late George and Rosellen (Robison) King.
She was a 1947 graduate of Montgomery High School and retired from Schnadig Corp., Montoursville in 1992. Earlier in life she had worked at Montgomery Mills, Bobbie Brooks, and Montgomery Factory.
She was a member of St. John’s “Delaware Run” Evangelical Lutheran Church, Watsontown since 1957 and a member of the senior center of Milton, formerly of Dewart.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and baking for them, and enjoyed playing Bingo.
Surviving are two sons: Thomas E. Messinger of Watsontown and Richard Messinger in Virginia; three daughters: Sandra Murray and her husband Dick of Duboistown; Emma Agajanian and her husband Jeff in California; and Karen Musselwhite in Florida; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, nine step-great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Faye Haas of McEwensville; Pauline Treese of New Columbia and Barb Summers of Muncy.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Robert, James, Donald, and Kenneth King, and two sisters: Emma Snook and Alberta Winder.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, Watsontown where the Rev. Faron Johnson, her pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Watsontown Cemetery.
