Ella Mae Nicholas, 89, of Russell's Road, Watsontown, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her home.
Born March 19, 1929 in Watsontown, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Mary A. (Moser) Zarr. She and her husband, Donald I. Nicholas, Sr., celebrated 56 years until his death February 23, 2005.
A homemaker all her life, she enjoyed sewing, helping people and listening to hymns. She cherished times spent with her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was a member of New Life Worship Center, Turbotville.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law: Donald I. Nicholas, Jr. and his wife Karen of Allenwood; two daughters and sons-in-law: Sandra M. Albertson and her husband George of Turbotville and Debra K. Yocum and her husband David of Muncy; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Harold and W. Gary Zarr; and three sisters: Verissa Smith, Nancy Zarr, and Shirley Bittner.
Preceding her in death besides her husband was a grandson, William Dale Albertson; a sister, Anna Engelman; and three brothers: George, Jr., Richard, and Randall Zarr.
Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM on Saturday, November 24 at Revival Tabernacle, 960 Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with her nephew, Pastor Roland Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Delaware Run Cemetery, Watsontown.
