Dorothy E. (Clayton) Delany

Dorothy E. “Ellen” Delany, 96, of Watsontown, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born May 2, 1923 in White Deer Twp., Union Co., she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Carrie (Platt) Clayton.  On January 5, 1957, she married the late James W. Delany and they celebrated 51 years of marriage until his passing on November 10, 2008.

Dorothy was a homemaker for most of her life and worked on the family farm. 

She is survived by her sister: Martha Lilley of New Columbia and her several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband Dorothy is preceded in death by her brother: George Clayton and five sisters: Bertha Smith, Jennie Berge, Violet Cannon, Ruth Beck, and Mary Frantz.

There will be a graveside service Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
