Doris F. (Foust) Phillips

Doris F. Phillips, 89, of Turbotville, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Riverwoods Health Center, Lewisburg.

Born November 27, 1929 in Limestone Twp., Montour County, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Ada (Cromley) Foust.   She was married to Neil L. Phillips for 51 years until his death July 13, 2003.

She was a 1947 graduate of Milton High School and retired from Danville State Hospital where she had worked over 30 years in the Patient Welfare office.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Turbotville and enjoyed gardening, especially flowers.

Surviving are a son and daughter–in-law, Daniel N. and Nancy Phillips of rural Turbotville; a daughter and son-in-law, Patti L. and Jim Becker of Watsontown; four grandchildren: Angela Ingerick and her husband Phillip, Amber Thomas and her husband Jeremy, Jessica Brown and her husband Joseph, and Michael Becker and his wife Jennifer; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Harold Phillips of New Columbia.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was a brother, Harold Foust and a sister, Gwendolyn Gregg who passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

A private graveside service will be held in Washingtonville Lutheran Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Doris’ memory may be made to Evangelical Hospice, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
