David T. Morris, 49, of Watsontown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born June 28, 1969 in Scranton, he was the son of Thomas B. and Susan J. (Thomas) Morris of Scranton.
He was a 1989 graduate of Warrior Run High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Harrisburg Area Community College as a Master Auctioneer.
He was employed earlier in life as a Law Enforcement Specialist with Critical Intervention Services in Clearwater, Florida, then relocated to New Jersey where he worked for New Jersey Transit as a conductor.
Most recently he was employed as a Lieutenant at the Northumberland County Prison.
His main enjoyment was spending time with his boys and family.
Surviving besides his parents of Scranton are his two sons, Dylan G. and Dante C. Morris, both of Watsontown and their mother, Christine N. Morris-Bannon and her husband Aaron in Maryland; two brothers: Mark H. Morris and his wife Elizabeth of Scranton and Jack E. Morris and his wife, Samantha J., who was his best friend and caretaker, of Watsontown; three nieces: Shawnna, Alyssa, and Alison Morris of Scranton; two nephews: Evan and Austin Morris of Watsontown; a great-nephew, Bentley Morris of Scranton; and his trusted canine companions, Sadie and Wilbur.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lemuel and Jessie Thomas and his auntie and uncle: Sissie and Papa Pugh.
Family and friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where a Life Celebration Service will be held at 8:00 PM.
