Clarence E. Bruch

Clarence E. “Smokie” “Popeye” Bruch, 77, of Muncy, formerly of Turbotville, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at UPMC Skilled Nursing Unit, Muncy.

Born December 14, 1941 in Danville, he was the son of the late Lawrence E. and Rosie I. (Bomboy) Bruch.  He was married to the former Patricia Kersetter until her passing on July 5, 1975.  He then married the former Lenna B. Shoemaker on August 9, 1986 and they celebrated 33 years of marriage.

Clarence worked for over 30 years at Sprout-Waldron in Muncy.  He enjoyed fishing, bingo, old cars and collecting railroad items.

Besides his wife, Lenna, he is survived by his daughter: Lois M. Bender, of Williamsport; three step-sons:  Kenny L. Allen and his wife Sandy, Frank H. Allen and his wife Deanna, all of Hughesville, and Anthony A. Lynn and his wife Billie Jo, of Montgomery; two step-daughters:  Angela L. Young and her husband Butch, of Wyomissing, and Tammy K. Snyder and her husband Tony, of Washingtonville; one granddaughter: Ivy E. Bruch, of Nanticoke; five step-grandchildren, one step-great-granddaughter: Aubra; three sisters:  Slyvia J. Bruch, of Cogan Station, Phoebey A. Marconi, of Millville, and Rose Mary J. Huffman, of Danville; two brothers-in-law:  Harold L. Shoemaker, of Mildred, and Frank L. Huffman, of Shrewsbury Twp/Muncy Valley; one sister-in-law:  Mary A. Fiester, of Shrewsbury Twp/Muncy Valley;  four nephews and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his, son-in-law: Craig A. Bender; one granddaughter:  Melissa A. Bruch; and one brother:  Myron Bomboy.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
