Carl S. Rovenolt, 87, of Milton, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Evangelical Community Hospital.
Born May 26, 1931 in Turbotville, he was the son of the late Milford L. and Louise M. (Funk) Rovenolt. On January 27, 1960 he married the former Jessie M. Moore and they have celebrated 58 years of marriage.
He was a graduate of the former Turbotville High School and was a lifetime farmer. He had also been employed at the former Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee plant in Milton for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, salmon fishing, and farming.
Surviving besides his wife are four sons: Dennis L. Rovenolt, and Dale W. Rovenolt, both of Milton, Thomas E. Lyons, Williamsport, and Scott L. Lyons in Florida; two daughters: JoLana Krawitz, Stroudsburg and Carlene M. Weaver, Allenwood; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, M. Lee Rovenolt and his wife Pat of Turbotville and a step-brother, Jim Moser, Hamilton, NY.
He was preceded in death by a son, Carl "Sam" Rovenolt, Jr., a sister, Ruth Ann Taylor, a brother, Calvin Rovenolt, and two step-brothers, Robert and Jacob Moser.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Paradise Cemetery, rural Milton where Rev. Doug Schader of Paradise United Church of Christ will officiate.
