Carl L. Christiansen, 77, of Sunset Heights Road, Milton, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at his home.
Born December 10, 1941 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Victor W. and Olive M. (Arsenault) Christiansen. OnJuly 12, 1985 he married Donna J. Corazza and they have celebrated 33 years of marriage.
He was a graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, VT. He served with the US Navy from 1961-69 during the Vietnam War. While in the Navy, he was a specialist with nuclear power and crypto communications, set-up ship-to-shore communications in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf and stationed in Ethiopia.
He retired as Director of Information Technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology and enjoyed collecting antiques and auctions, hunting, fishing, camping, and loved to play golf.
Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Tana L. Hannan and her husband Joe of Northumberland; two sons: Eric W. Christiansen of Williamsport and Victor C. Christiansen and his wife Keiko of Osaka, Japan; two sisters: Audrey Richards and her husband Austin of St. Albans, VT and Joan Moore of Alden, NY, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Justin B. Christiansen who died August 7, 2018.
Family and friends will be received at his home at 7 Sunset Heights Road, Milton, PA 17847 on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 1 to 5:00 PM.
Burial with full military honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Carl’s memory be made to UPMC Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
