Helen A. Fenerty, 89, of Turbotville, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at Kramm Healthcare and Nursing Home in Watsontown.
Born August 2, 1921 in Erie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Edith (Haxaire) Muellerstein. She married Richard L. Fenerty on December 26, 1945 and they celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Helen was in the US Navy during WWII. While in the Navy, she served 2 years as a Specialist X - 2nd Class. Helen enjoyed taking care of her family and their home, which she and her husband Richard built together.
Surviving in addition to her husband Richard is a son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Ginger Fenerty of Waynesboro, VA; a sister Marion M. Muellerstein of Watsontown; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a son Patrick Fenerty in 2008.
Friends are invited to call at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM Thursday, February 24 where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM. Burial of ashes will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
